Job Overview:

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to lead and manage a team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring the successful completion of projects. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of professionals in various functions such as operations, IT, or project management, depending on the specific project.
• Supervise day-to-day team activities, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
• Assign tasks based on team members' strengths and project requirements, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
• Collaborate with senior management to set team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Prepare regular reports on team progress, challenges, and solutions for management review.
• Address any team conflicts or issues, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
• Implement best practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Act as the point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
• Provide training, mentoring, and support to new team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience in team management or project leadership roles, preferably in IT or consulting sectors.
• Skills Required:
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a solid understanding of operations and business processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
