Position: Information Security Analyst (Remote)

Job Summary:

As an Information Security Analyst, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

• Identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
• Monitoring security events and incidents, investigating potential breaches, and implementing appropriate response measures.
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security policies and procedures.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and trends, and recommending proactive security measures.
• Working collaboratively with other security professionals and IT teams to ensure a comprehensive and robust security posture.
• Performing security awareness training for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
• Analyze security logs and event data to detect suspicious activity and potential breaches.
• Investigate security incidents, determine root cause, and recommend remediation actions.
• Participate in incident response planning and execution activities.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including threat models, incident response plans, and security policies.
• Stay informed about emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate security controls.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security solutions and configurations.
• Conduct security awareness training programs for employees to educate them on cybersecurity best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in information security analysis.
• Strong understanding of security principles, concepts, methodologies, and best practices (including NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., vulnerability scanners, SIEM/SOC tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

This role is open to both experienced security analysts and enthusiastic individuals with a strong foundation in information security.
